This week we had a chance to participate in two great events on behalf of the two organizations: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Be The Match. (I am donating a portion of the proceeds from each book sold to these two organizations).
Thursday night was the LLS Lifeblood Awards, honoring some of the great volunteers who are vital to the LLS Mission of finding cures to blood cancers. Molly and Julia collaborated on a drawing that was giving out to each honoree. They were thrilled to help out and I think their drawing captured the mood of the evening perfectly.
Then last, last night, Betsy and I spoke at the Be The Match Gala. Our talk focused on the impact cancer has on a family. It was a beautiful and inspiring night. We felt lucky to be a part of it and to be able to celebrate the important work Be The Match does on behalf of patients and families!
As we head into the holidays, I have actually started to test a Facebook ad campaign to promote the book. It will be interesting to see how it does driving traffic.
With the launch of the ads, I will be directing people to the Amazon page to purchase the book. This means Amazon reviews are going to be particularly important in helping turn browsers into purchasers.
